Helpful information about places to stay on Block Island

BOOK EARLY!

We cannot emphasize this enough. There are several weddings on Block Island the weekend of June 11th and rooms will book fast.

We have listed a wide array of accommodation options knowing that travel plans will vary. The majority of the hotels, B&Bs and Apartments listed below are all within walking distance to town and beaches. For those planning on spending a long weekend or full week, we encourage you to look into house rentals as the season will not be in full swing and accommodations will be more affordable (and week-long rentals may not be required). Note that most house rentals do not become available until January of 2016 but hotels and B&Bs will begin booking in the Fall of 2015.

The island is "delightfully dated" - consider it part of the charm!

Most hotels will not "release" all rooms online, so we highly recommend calling the hotels directly in order to book early.  Things will fill up fast after February since vacationers book months in advance.

Many hotels have a 2 night minimum on weekends (we hope you'll consider coming Thursday or Friday and making a weekend out of it!).  If you're just planning to stay Saturday night, the Surf Hotel is offering a one-night stay for the night of June 11th.

At this point, all hotels that previously offered room blocks for our wedding have been released to the public (hence the "book early" text above).

Hotels

The National Hotel

The National Hotel is located steps from the Old Harbor Ferry terminal. Standard rooms range in price from about $219 - $349 per night (plus tax). We did have a room block here which ended in March, so feel free to mention the O'Neil/McInnis wedding as we have worked closely with the hotel staff on accommodations throughout the winter.

House Rentals

House rentals are a great option for large parties or those wanting to make a vacation out of the trip. There are several agencies you can work with on Block Island. Typically, rentals do not become available until January of 2016. In high season, houses are rented by the week, but early June is not typically considered high season and agencies will be open to long weekend rentals on a house-by-house basis.
